Welcome to the law firm of Mary L. Collins. I have been in the practice of law since 1980, practicing in Wisconsin until I moved with my family to Illinois. In 1987 I was admitted to the Illinois bar and I remain a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association.
I began my legal career in Legal Services, representing low income persons in civil matters. The areas of special education and Social Security Disability Law fast became an arena where I felt I could assist families and clients in need. The rules and regulations which govern Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare can be confusing. I am sure many people give up valid claims because they are overwhelmed by the system. I opened up my own practice in 1990 and have been successfully representing disabled persons in this area since that time.
